Frederick Abeling

Notice the medal on his chest - it has been suggested that this is the shape of the Purple Heart, given to soldiers who are injured while in action. However, there are no records or family histories that indicate that Fred was ever in the military. It could be a medal from the Moose Lodge which Fred joined.
