Federal Trench at Lone Jack, Missouri

This photo shows the concrete block structure which is the marker for the trench were the Union soldiers were buried. The Federal trench runs on the right of that marker down to the bottom of the picture. This is only a portion of the trench. It's 80 ft in length.

NOTE the small flat headstone at ground level in front of the concrete pillar - it is the headstone of John Bernard Greufe.
