Though an accident, the plate glass window of W. J. Abeling's cigar store was broken Monday morning. The accident happened through the falling of the Indian cigar sign while Col. Davis was leaning against it.

The Radi, April 30, 1903
William J. Abeling has sold his tobacco business to Nelson and L. J. Shaver of Palatine Bridge. Mr. Abeling has been engaged in the tobacco and cigar business in this village since 1861, and is one of the oldest and most honored business men.
