Funeral Services Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie A. Abeling, widow of William Abeling, 93 Maple Avenue, Canajoharie, were held at 2 o'clock with Rev Albert P Schilke, pastor of St. Mark's Luthern Church, officiating. Burial was made at Prospect Hill cemetery, Canajoharie.
Bearers were Mrs Abeling's grandsons, James, Charles, Thomas, Donald, and Paul Abeling and Airman Albert Fusmer, Riverhead, L.I.
Out of town friends and relatives from Ilion, Luzerne, Amsterdam, Conklinkville, Riverhead, L.I., St. Johnsville, Sharon Springs, and Fort Plain attended.

OBITUARY

Mrs. William Abeling
Mrs. Carrie A. Abeling, 76, widow of William Abeling, 93 Abeling St, Canajoharie, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital Amsterdam, where she had been a patient three weeks.
She was born in Canajoharie Aug 12, 1878, daughter of Philander and Nancy Van Etta Abbey, and had always lived in this community. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Churhc.
Survivors are three sons, Fred of Luzerne, Lester and William Jr of Canajoharie, one daughter, Mrs. Harry Fusmer, Canajoharies RD2; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at the family home, 93 Maple Ave, Saturday at 2 o'clock with Rev. Albert P Schilke, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be made in Prospect Hill cemetery, Canajoharie. |
