1880 US Census: Canajoharie, Montgomery County, New York
Status: Located; The head of the household is a 55 year woman who was born in Hanover. The census takers writing isn't very clear -as it looks like Mommy Hency. I've seen this happen before when the census taker wasn't able to get the first name.
Also listed:
son, Henry, 20 yrs old, working in the sack factory, His parents are both listed as being born in Hanover, Germany area
daughter (although this is questionable), Dora, 17 yrs old, I say questionable because she is listed as a servant to the family.
daughter in law (most likely Henry's wife), Jeney, 27 years old, she was born in New York, but both of her parents were listed as England
granddaughter (of Henry/Jeney), Alice, 2 yrs old, born in NY
grandson, Henry, 9 months old, born in Sept, born in NY

1890 Veteran's Schedule including Peter Goebel of Walker Township, Henry County, Missouri
Status: Located; This is NOT CONFIRMED yet.

On the 1890 Veteran's Schedule, Petere Goebel of Walker Township, Henry County, Missouri is listed as a veteran. I am unsure if this is the correct Peter Goebel, however, I believe he's the only Peter Goebel in that area at the time. I'm also unsure of what war he served in. Typcially the 1890 schedule show Civil War vets, however Peter is recorded as immigrating to the US in 1861, which was right at the start of the war. In addition, he has several children that are also listed as being born during the civil war.
